Veidekke wins €120 million contract

Developer Centrumgården has awarded Scandinavian contractor Veidekke a NOK900 million (€120 million) contract to build a new shopping centre on the site of the old Hamar Stadium in Hamar, Hedmark County, Norway.
The CC Hamar Stadium project will consists of 65,000m of new buildings, including a parking and reception of goods area in the basement and the a two-story shopping centre. It is scheduled to open by the end of 2014.
Veidekke said the contract represented the largest construction project in the Norwegian interior since the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, and it is hoped it will become a centre for growth and development in Hamar and the surrounding region.
