Foster and Partners has unveiled its designs for a 600 m tall mixed-use tower in Moscow for developer STT Group.

Located 5.5 km from Red Square, the 118-storey “vertical city” will be home to 25000 people, and will include offices, a hotel, shops, leisure facilities, and apartments with private gardens, public spaces and an observation deck.

When completed it will be the tallest naturally ventilated tower in the world, and other 'green' design features include a triple glazed façade, and photovoltaic cells that will feed electricity back into the city grid.

Energy, waste, rain and snow recycling will also reduce running costs, and improve the structure's sustainability.
