General contracting company Chris Vuylsteke, from Meulebeke in Belgium, is expanding its crane fleet with nine more tower cranes from Chinese manufacturer Yongmao.

The deal was closed with European Yongmao distributor Jin Long Europe, a Neremat Group company.

“Our crane fleet now consists 100% of Yongmao tower cranes,” said Bart Bracke, Vuylsteke CEO. The fleet is 20 units from 200 to 550 tonne-metres. “Our biggest Yongmao STT553 lifts 4 tonnes at 80 metres radius and a 24 tonne maximum. Our return is 100% optimised by the higher lifting capacities we require for placing our precast concrete elements, which we manufacture in-house in our own production centre. Thanks to the stepless movements of the tower crane we can position our precast elements without fault at the exact spot,” Bracke went on.

Vuylsteke bought the towers with a three year warranty and an all-inclusive maintenance contract, over 10 years, when the cranes go out of warranty. “In that way we know beforehand what the cranes will cost and we have no surprises,” Bracke said. “Our first Yongmao tower crane, an ST 7030, which we bought 10 years ago, is still an efficient member of our crane fleet.” This crane was also the first Yongmao tower crane imported in the European Union through Jin Long Europe.
