Tower crane rental company Wilbert used a pair of its cranes for reconstruction work at a paper mill in Alfeld, Germany

Two Wilbert tower cranes, a WT 650 e.tronic and a flat top WT 420 e.tronic, were used to modify a paper machine at the Sappi paper mill.

The first task for the WT 650 e.tronic tower crane included making the building structurally sound. Tasks included opening the ceiling, removing existing steel joists and lifting new steel and ceiling structures into the building, a company spokesperson said. The WT 650 e.tronic was configured with 53 m height under hook and an 82.5 m jib.

Once this stage of the renovation project was complete, the flat top WT 420 e.tronic was brought to the mill to prepare the site for a 135 tonne MG cylinder with a diameter of 6.5 m.

The tower cranes worked on site for eight months.
