Williams Scotsman, the US business of global portable accommodation rental company Algeco Scotsman, has named Joseph Vecchiolla as its new president.

Mr Vecchiolla now heads up the modular space and storage company in North America, moving into the role from vice president of US field operations.

He will be responsible for all financial, strategic and operational aspects of Williams Scotsman’s US business, which includes nearly 100 branch locations. He is also part of the Algeco Scotsman senior management team.

Prior to serving as vice president of US field operations, Mr Vecchiolla served as vice president of the Eastern region of the US where he managed the financial and operational performance of the company’s largest business unit.

Mr Vecchiolla joined Williams Scotsman in 2002 as vice president of marketing and corporate communications. Previously, he was president of the Bradley Media Group, a full-service advertising agency that he founded and managed.
