Road building equipment manufacturer Wirtgen Group has acquired an 80% share in fellow German company Kleemann.

The company manufactures mobile and stationary crushing and screening equipment for the quarry, construction, demolition and recycling industries.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Kleemann will be incorporated into the Wirtgen group as a new business segment called Wirtgen Mineral Technologies.

Kleemann’s current managing director, Dr Gerhard Schumacher will continue to lead the company, and the Kleemann brand will also be retained.
