World record from Wiesbauer

Heavy lift and transport company Wiesbauer in Germany has set a world record after testing a Scheuerle InterCombi SP transporter with a rotor blade for a Vestas V126 wind turbine.
The rotor blade weighed 13.4 tonnes and measured 62 metres long. The test resulted in a new world record for a clamped wind turbine blade on a rotor blade adapter of this type, a company spokesperson said.
The tests were carried out at the Vestas production facility in Lem, Denmark.
The Scheuerle InterCombi SP is a second generation rotor blade adapter and has been designed to travel around tight corners and help the rotor blades to avoid trees, buildings and other obstacles. When travelling on steep gradients or winding roads the position of the rotor blade can also be adjusted up to an angle of 70 degrees. In addition to these design features, the Scheuerle InterCombi SP has wind sensors and hydraulically-controlled counterweights, the manufacturer added.
