WSP acquires Technip’s French subsidiary
08 April 2014
Engineering consultant WSP is to acquire TPS, the French subsidiary of contractor Technip.
TPS specialises in building and infrastructure engineering and reported revenues of €20 million last year. WSP said the deal would add 100 employees to its existing workforce in France.
WSP president and CEO Pierre Shoiry said the deal would boost the company’s role in France and enhance its expertise in the industrial and building sectors worldwide.
“TPS has solid skills when it comes to designing and carrying out major initiatives and has worked on projects such as the national library in Paris and Airbus’s A380 assembly plant in Toulouse,” Shoiry said.
The acquisition is subject to closing conditions and is scheduled to take effect at the end of this month. WSP said Éric Falleur, currently president of TPS, would continue to head the operations of this subsidiary in France.
Founded in 1989, TPS was created by Technip in order to provide engineering services in the building and infrastructure sector. Its headquarters are Paris, with other French offices in Lyon and Toulouse, and an office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
