JLG Industries, Inc., has added the new personal and portable FS60 to its LiftPod line of aerial work platforms. The FS60 has a smaller base than JLG's other LiftPods and it is ANSI A92.3-2006/CSA B354.1-04 compliant.
UpRight's new "personal access" range attracted a lot of interest at its distributor conference held in Dubai. The range includes push around scissor lifts; push around vertical mast lifts; self propelled mast lifts and self propelled scissors. UpRight Powered Access is launching a wide range of low-level access platforms, including three push-around scissors, a new low cost version of the UL lifts, and an 8 m self-propelled model to complement the well established TM 12.
Skyjack was still teasing potential customers with the prototype of its SJ 16 vertical mast lift at Intermat. There will be two machines in the range the SJ 12 - 3.6 m (12 ft) platform height - will be sold worldwide while the SJ 16 - 4.8 m (16 ft) - will only be offered in Europe. The machines will be available from the end of this year.
Among the many product launches and updates at APEX is a never-before seen, electrically powered, mast style boom lift from JLG. The Toucan 10E provides a 10m working height and is designed to help users increase their productivity and make maintenance easy.
The sixth APEX aerial platform exhibition opens in just one week in Maastricht, The Netherlands. It takes place from Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th September - and will be the largest APEX show ever, with over 115 companies exhibiting.
Genie's Super Straddle, an attachment which allows a personnel lift to be used in areas which would otherwise be inaccessible, has been redesigned to meet the latest ANSI A92.3 standards and CE compliance.
