Caterpillar wins European genset award
Caterpillar enjoyed a leading 24.9% share of the European diesel genset market in 2009 according to market research body Frost & Sullivan, which has awarded Cat its annual European Market Share Leadership Award in genset category. Frost & Sullivan said Caterpillar had consolidated its leadership position in a declining market.
Rental growth at H&E Equipment
H&E Equipment Services reported a 12.4% fall in total revenues to US$153.8 million for the third quarter of 2010. Equipment rental revenues increased 7.0% to $48.3 million, new equipment sales fell 2.1% to $47.7 million and used equipment sales decreased 55.0% to $14.7 million.
Euro Auctions opens sale location in Spain
UK-based construction equipment auction company Euro Auctions has opened a permanent auction site in Valencia, Spain, and will hold its first auction there on 10 December.
Ramirent still on "recovery path"
Ramirent’s sales for the quarter to the end of September were up 8.8% to €140.09 million, although the increase falls to 3.3% on a like-for-like currency basis. Net profits for the period were up 70% to €8.5 million.
Hertz revenues stable in third quarter
Hertz Equipment Rental Corp (HERC) reported a 0.2% rise in revenues to US$281.2 million for the third quarter of 2010 to 30 September. It is the first time in two years that the company has posted growth in the third quarter.

Rental recovery under way says Cramo as sales grow 13%
Cramo’s third quarter revenues grew by 13% to €130.3 million compared to the same quarter in 2009 and operating profits increased by 70% to €13.3 million. Sales grew year on year in all its territories except Denmark.
Cramo sells operated plant division to Peab
Cramo and Nordic contractor Peab have strengthened their cooperation with two new agreements. In Sweden, Cramo is selling its operated plant business to Peab and in Finland, Cramo will buy most of the rental fleet of Peab’s Finnish rental subsidiary, Lambertsson Oy.
