Kanoo and Wolffkran joint venture

Wolffkran Arabia is a new joint venture between tower crane manufacturer Wolffkran and equipment dealer Kanoo Machinery. The new venture will sell and rent out tower cranes in the United Arab Emirates from an office in Abu Dhabi.

It is intended that 15 new tower cranes be added to the fleet in 2007 and that more offices will be opened in the region.

“We couldn't have wished for a better partner than Wolffkran,” said Mishal Kanoo, Kanoo Group deputy chairman. “The sale and hire of the red Wolff cranes are both very promising areas of business for Kanoo Machinery.”

Kanoo Machinery is a subsidiary of the Kanoo Group and began operations in the 1960s. Kanoo Group is a family-run consortium with its origins in 19th Century Bahrain. Its interests include transport, travel, machinery, oil & gas.

Wolffkran manufactures tower cranes in Germany. Turnover is around ∈48 million and there are about 300 employees.
