Peri UP stair towers and reinforced scaffold is being used in conjunction with company's formwork products during the construction of the new Royal Danish Theatre venue in Kvaesthusbroen, Copenhagen.

The new two stage theatre, with a total capacity of 1000 seats, being built for the Royal Danish Theatre in Kvaesthusbroen, Copenhagen was designed by architects Boje Lundgaard and Lene Tranberg and is due for completion in 2008. The design is the result of their entering an international architectural competition, with their work being announced as being the winning design in May 2002. As a part of the design, the building will feature a front façade made of copper and glass, and cantilevers in part over the Copenhagen harbour basin and is supported on reinforced concrete piles over the surface of the harbour.

The building is being constructed by Phil & San A.S. in a contract with a total cost of €100 million (US$120 million). The bulk of the new theatre is being assembled using Peri formwork components, such as Trio panel formwork, as well as Multiprop towers and Multiflex slab formwork. The Danish Peri engineers also included the use of Peri scaffold products in the planning.

One of the tasks Peri had to undertake was the provision of safe access for site personnel to the various work areas up to 40 m (132 ft) from the ground; UP scaffold towers with alternating staircase units were installed. Reinforcement work could be carried out quickly and safely from UP reinforcement scaffold units that could also be used to provide access passages from one wall side to the other.
