South Korean construction equipment manufacturer Doosan Infracore has promoted Martin Knoetgen to president of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations.

Effective 1 June, former vice president of EMEA operations Mr Knoetgen replaces Scott Nelson, who has been president of EMEA since June 2010.

Doosan Infracore CEO Tony Helsham noted that Mr Knoetgen had over 15 years of general management and operations experience.

"Martin has a balanced leadership approach and a demonstrated ability to deliver on short-term goals while developing strategies and executing against the long-range plan," Mr Helsham said.

Prior to joining Doosan Infracore, Mr Knoetgen served as president and general manager at Dalphi Metal, a subsidiary of TRW Automotive Holdings. He also spent more than three years as the director of operations in Europe and four years as plant manager at TRW.
