Work platform manufacturer Snorkel will showcase its Pop-Up series of lifts at OS+H Asia 2012, as part of the Singapore event's focus on safe working at height.

Capable of achieving heights of 4m, the Pop-Up lifts are replacing stepladders and podiums as a safer and more productive way of working at lower heights. The Pop-Up range of mini-scissor lifts can be easily pushed around and come with electrically powered elevation and descent.

Nick Sowden, president of Snorkel Asia, who is based in Singapore, said: "Aerial lifts have helped radically lower the number of fatalities and injuries from working at height. However, a surprising number of falls from height actually occur at lower levels, where workers are using older methods of access like ladders and steps. Pop-Up can address this serious issue, helping companies further improve their safety record and better protect their employees from risk of injury or death."

All Pop-Up lifts fit comfortably through interior doorways or inside passenger elevators. The unit's electric motor can lift one person with tools.

Snorkel has sold more than 6000 Pop-Up lifts since introducing the range in 2006.

OS+H Asia 2012 takes place September 12-14 at Suntec Singapore.
