Horizon Platforms, based in Yorkshire, UK, has ordered 90 JLG scissors and booms, expanding its fleet to nearly 500 units.

The majority of the order is destined for its new North West location, recently opened in Warrington.

Joint managing director Ben Hirst said, "This is the third order that we have placed with JLG in the last four years. We have a number of clients who require platforms for reactive maintenance contracts, the reliability and additional battery life offered by the ES scissor range has helped us further support this customer type.

The order consists of 19 ft, 26 ft and 32 ft ES battery scissors along with E300 and M450 articulating booms. JLG’s anti-entrapment SkyGuard system will be fitted to all compatible booms.

Mr Hirst continued, “Horizon has been trading for over five years now and our aim at the outset was to offer our customers the complete powered access package."

"Our decision to only ever buy brand new machines and employing staff with the same values has helped continue our expansion whilst continually improving our service levels,” Mr Hirst added.
