ZPMC signs deal for new crane and pipe lay vessel

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC), based in Shanghai, and Hilong Marine Engineering, based in Hong Kong, have signed a contract for a 3,000-tonne crane pipe lay vessel.

The contract is worth approximately US$163.6 million, a spokesperson said.

Chinese crane maker ZPMC is due to deliver the crane in 2014. Both companies are subsidiaries of China Communications Construction Company Ltd.
