D&Ri can announce the first speakers who have provisionally agreed to make presentations at the 2014 World Demolition Summit in Amsterdam on 6 November.

From Australia will once again come Clinton Dick and Simon Gill from Liberty Industrial. Their presentation will cover the dismantling and demolition work required at the Rio Tinto Hismelt pig iron smelting plant at Kwanina, portions of which are being transferred to China

The first speaker from the UK has also given his provisional agreement. The winning entry for the 2013 Civils Demolition Award, a challenging offshore demolition project entitled ‘The Demolition of the UK Ministry of Defence’s Upper Harbour Ammunition Facility outside Gosport’ will be described by Michael Corridon from Micor Ltd.

We are in the process of confirming other presentations that will illustrate the best that the demolition industry has to offer from around the world by looking at some of the highest profile, challenging and demanding contracts carried out over the last few months. We will announce more details of these as they become available.
