Hyundai and Powerscreen join A1's team

UK specialist contractor A1 Demolition & Services has made a £0.5 investment in plant to extend its ability to provide an on-site processing solution for waste arising from demolition activities. The investment covers a Hyundai R220LC-9A crawler excavator and a HL770-9 wheeled loader supplied by Hyundai dealer EP Industries alongside a Powerscreen Premiertrak 300R jaw crusher and Chieftain 1700 screen supplied by Powerscreen dealer Blue Machinery (Central).

A1 was established five years ago by Craig Jackson to take advantage of a perceived niche in the sector, where the company recovers and recycles aggregates on-site and the new machines will allow it to provide a one-pass production of sustainable material that can be reused in redevelopment and restoration projects.

Craig’s experience of the industry and his commitment to sustainability and the environment led him to Hyundai: “We did look at other machines on the market – but we had a Hyundai on demo and it outshone the others in both its performance and value for money. Hyundai’s latest machines have strong environmental and safety credentials too, which in building our business and moving it forward was crucial.”

“With years of experience in the demolition industry, I am familiar with the equipment available on the market,” Craig continued. “With the new Powerscreen PT300 jaw crusher, I feel we have the most cutting edge jaw crusher available on the market today in terms of throughput, design and fuel efficiency, and the machines compliment the Hyundai machines working well together as a team.”
