Cemex keeps trade flowing between Mexico and US

Cemex has announced that its Mexico branch has played a role in the restoration of the Monterrey-Nuevo Laredo highway – the main export-import route between Mexico and the US.
Located in north-east Mexico, the Monterrey-Nuevo Laredo highway connects Mexico with the state of Texas, where 52% of Mexico’s imports and exports take place.
Cemex Mexico supplied 98,000 m³ of hydraulic concrete to restore around 9.75 miles of the highway. More than 15,000 truckloads are said to flow across this highway every day. The company ensured traffic could still flow during construction.
The project directly employed more than 100 people, and saw more than 30,000 tonnes of cement delivered to the site.
