Atlas Copco’s Rtex pneumatic breaker has been awarded the Innovation Medal at the GaLaBau exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany.

It was one of 15 prize winners selected from 120 entries. This medal was awarded by the Bundesverband Garten-, Landschafts- und Sportplatzbau (BGL)

The breaker received the prize for its novel design concept, which enables a 50% reduction in compressed air usage.

The breaking force of the Rtex is equal to that of a 30+ kg breaker, whilst it weighs 25% less.

By awarding the innovation prize to Atlas Copco, the top level expert jury, consisting of representatives of the BGL, technical colleges, trades unions, landscape architects, and garden, landscape and playground construction companies, has recognised this advance.
