Sicoma has joined the Unacea trade association

Concrete equipment manufacturers in Unacea, the Italian construction equipment trade association, are continuing to grow with new member Sicoma, a company specialising in the production and distribution of mixers for concrete and similar.

The firm is part of the Officine Meccaniche Galletti group, an industrial company founded in the early 1970s as a continuation of the handcrafted business of Fratelli Galletti. Sicoma-Omg has factories in Italy, China and India, and sales offices in Spain, France, the US and Morocco.

Paolo Galletti, president of the group, said, “We have been manufacturing concrete mixers for more than 50 years and sold them all over the world.

“Paradoxically, Italy is the most difficult market for our kind of machines, and this is because the adoption of concrete mixer technology has never spread.”

He added that Unacea was pursuing a long-standing awareness campaign about benefits of mixed concrete.

“We therefore decided to join the association to actively participate in what we consider a long overdue reform in the construction field.”
