ERA online sustainability brochure update

The updated version of the European Rental Association’s (ERA) online sustainability brochure is now available, and is available in seven languages.

In 2015 the ERA created an online brochure with the aim to provide information about the role of sustainability in the rental sector. By showcasing successful business practices, the document serves as an illustration of the benefits that sustainability approach could bring to the industry.
At the end of 2017, ERA’s Sustainability Committee expressed its wish to further improve the online sustainability brochure by integrating relevant information from the McKinsey’s “Sustainability Graph”, used by the Committee, into it.
The following changes have been made to the online brochure:
- The brochure listed 10 sustainable practices across the supply chain. Upon the request of ERA, those practices have now been organised into 4 sections which are: Sustainable products, Resource efficiency, people security & care and Reputation Management & Business Ethics.
- 2 new categories (safety and business ethics) have been included in the brochure with their own page, suggested actions and examples of best practices.
The ERA’s Online Sustainability Brochure is an online tool containing research into rental companies, with a focus on the sustainable practices and initiatives in the industry. It is dedicated to three categories of readers: the rental companies, the customers of the rental companies and the other stakeholders including European and national institutions, NGOs and universities.
The online sustainability brochure offers each European rental company the possibility of submitting their best practices. If a best practice is selected, it will appear in the next version of the brochure.
