22 June 2018

Essex-based Cannon Access have expanded their fleet with the addition of three Snorkel compact rough terrain scissor lifts.

The order, placed with Linda Betts of Snorkel UK, includes two Snorkel S2755RT narrow rough terrain compact scissor lifts, and one Snorkel S3970BE bi-energy compact rough terrain scissor lift. The Snorkel S2755RT was launched at APEX 2017 and offers a 10.4m working height and 300kg lift capacity and is 1.45m wide and weighs 2,750kg. The Snorkel S3970BE is Snorkel’s largest compact rough terrain scissor lift, with a working height of 13.9m, and can be operated on either diesel or electric power for indoor and outdoor working.

Cannon Access was formed in 2013 by Managing Director Tom Cannon with a small fleet of access platforms. The company has grown into an access hire specialist, and now operates a fleet of more than 90 machines, including scissor lifts, boom lifts, tracked spider lifts, mini cranes and truck mounted units. Located in Tiptree, Cannon Access are ideally situated to support customers in Essex, Suffolk and further afield.

“At Cannon Access, we have been through a significant period of expansion, and we are now slowing down our fleet growth to enable us to maintain our high level of customer service, which includes tailored deliveries and providing a guaranteed quick response,” Cannon said. “The new Snorkel S2755RT scissor lifts are a perfect fit for our fleet, which does include some niche models. The very narrow chassis, excellent levelling capabilities and low weight of the S2755RT will make it interesting to many of our customers. The Snorkel S3970BE will be a great addition to our already exceptional range of electric scissor lifts, but with the added benefit of its rough terrain features.”

Andrew Fishburn, managing director of Snorkel UK, added, “Cannon Access take real pride in their fleet, and we are very pleased that they have chosen to add Snorkel scissor lifts. We are confident that both products will become popular with their existing hire customers, and we look forward to working with Cannon Access again in future.”
