The SmartControl is a new low loader semitrailer operating system from German heavy haul trailer manufacturer Goldhofer that works via remote control or control panels on the gooseneck and rear bogie.

According to the company, it enables tractor engine start - stop, electronic axle alignment and ramp operation (where relevant) to be effected at the touch of a button. A memory function means various ride heights can be set. In comparison with manual actuation, Goldhofer says SmartControl increases convenience and safety.
