The Netherlands-based rental company has selected the V452T X-TRA loader, which has a lower boom that makes it easier for the operator to see what they are doing with the attachment. In addition, the centre of gravity of the load relative to the machine is lowered, resulting in a tipping capacity of 2,600kg. This makes the machine particularly suitable for road construction, demolition and earthworks.

During the Bauma exhibition, the key to the first machine was handed over by Toine Brock, Director and owner of Tobroco-Giant, to Volker Blome, Manager of Product Development at Boels. Between now and the end of 2019, the machines will be delivered in phases – about ten per month to begin with, ramping up to about 15 per month in the final months.

The compact wheeled loaders will then be available at Boels’ locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Blome told IRN, “We chose the V452T X-TRA because it is compact and strong, and it combines low weight with high power. The fact that it is light offers logistical advantages when it comes to transporting the loader.”

He added, “There is strong demand for this type of machine, with its wide tyres.”

The 100 new loaders will not only replace old stock but will grow Boels’ fleet of compact loaders, which was said to be a popular segment.

Matti Moenen, Manager of Purchasing at Boels, said, “We adjust our rental range to the wishes and needs of our customers. We were already familiar with Tobroco-Giant, but contacts have intensified from 2017. Then the choice was made quickly. Not only because of the reliability and low maintenance costs, but also because of the extensive network of Giant dealers. This ensures that regional service can be provided ”

Brock said, “We see the collaboration with Boels Rental as a confirmation that investing in quality pays off. The V452T X-TRA has been one of our best-selling models for years,” adding, “We hope that this collaboration can be expanded even further in the coming years. ”

Also at Bauma, on stand FN-1021/1, Tobroco-Giant has introduced its fully electric G2200e wheeled loader. Commercial production of the 2.2 tonne machine will begin in October 2019.
