Star Platforms provides Niftylifts to decorate Merry Hill Shopping Centre in the UK

Star Platforms has provided four Niftylift booms to help prepare Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Dudley, UK, for the festive season.

Three Height Rider HR17N and one HR12N articulated models were used to hang Christmas decorations around the centre, which is comprised of over 250 retailers and covers an area of 155,000 m2 (1,671,000 sq ft) over two floors.

According to Star Platforms, the Niftylift models were chosen for their versatility and narrow size of just 1.5 m, which allowed the operators to manoeuvre easily around the retail outlet.

Steve Simmons, Star Platform’s managing director, said, “Their compact dimensions enable them to travel through and work in restricted spaces, while their non-marking tyres help protect the finished flooring.”

With reaches of 17m and 12.2m respectively, the Niftylift HR17N and HR12N machines can be run off battery/electric power to keep both fuel and noise pollution to a minimum.

Simmons said, “Our bi-energy and hybrid power Niftylift boom lifts are the perfect option where customers need to work indoors and reach up and around a variety of obstacles.”
