Snorkel has delivered the first SL26RTE lithium-electric Speed Levels in Denmark to specialist rental company Steiness Liftcenter.

The manufacturer supplied two of its zero-emission units to the rental company’s custom-built facility near Copenhagen. Steiness, which provides re-rental services across Denmark and Southern Sweden, has a rental fleet comprising more than 450 mewps.

Henrik Skibsted, Territory Manager for Scandinavia and the Baltics for Snorkel, said, “We are delighted that Steiness Liftcenter were the first to bring these fantastic lifts into the Danish market, and we look forward to seeing this technology at work on jobsites all around Denmark in the near future.”

Working with official Snorkel distributor KH Lift ApS, Steiness ordered the units official Snorkel distributor in Denmark, KH Lift ApS on the same day Snorkel announced that the model was entering full production in the United Kingdom.

Poul Steiness, owner of Steiness Liftcenter, said, “Zero emission models are in high demand in the Danish market, and it was important for us to be the first in Denmark to stock the lithium-powered Speed Level.”

According to Snorkel, the SL26RTE model offers running costs of up to 95% less than a diesel engine, has a 6-hour recharging time and emits up to 60% less noise than its diesel equivalent. 

Powered by lithium-ion battery packs, it has a maximum platform height of 8.0m (25ft 6in) and a lift capacity of 680kg (1,500lbs). 

Skibsted said, “The Speed Level is an innovative design that has stood the test of time, so to now be able to offer its unique capabilities and impressive performance with the added benefit of zero emissions is a fantastic offering for our customer base in this territory.”
