Sunward USA unveils telehandler

Sunward USA’s new 6,000-pound telehandler.

Sunward USA, whose parent company is China-based Sunward Equipment Group, debuted a new telehandler for the North American market during the 2020 ARA Show. The SWTH-634 is a 6,000-pound capacity unit with a maximum lift height of 34 feet, 5 inches. The company will unveil two additional models in the 8k and 10k classes this year, with the 10k telehandler coming to market in September. 

Sunward USA has been established since 2015 and the company is expanding its product lineup to meet local demand, according to Braden Foster, Sunward USA’s director of marketing. The company’s base will be in Denton, TX and its workforce will expand from roughly 13 employees to 30 by end-of-year. Parent company Sunward Equipment Group employs more than 6,000 people. 

The SWTH-634 telehandler features front, rear and crab steering options and a three-speed powershift transmission. A Deutz 74 hp engine provides the unit’s power. For more information on Sunward and the new line of telehandlers, visitors to ConExpo can see the company in person at booth BL414.
