Liebherr continues its rise with another record year in 2019

Liebherr Group posted an increase in sales of 11.4 per cent, for 2019, to €11,750 million.

The family-owned crane and construction equipment maker added €1,199 million to its turnover. Increases were posted from all the product divisions. The construction machinery and mining equipment group was up by 11.8 % to €7,640 million. This also includes mobile cranes, concrete technology and tower cranes.

The maritime cranes, aerospace and transportation systems, gear technology and automation systems, domestic appliances, components, and hotels, showed turnover overall up 10.5 % to €4,110 million.

Sales continued to increase in Europe, the company’s largest sales region. Germany, France, Spain and Denmark, were particularly strong and there was growth in Russia and Norway, the company said.

The largest increase in sales was in North America. A positive trend was also reported in Asia and Oceania, largely from Australia, China, Singapore and Japan. Africa and the Near and Middle East showed small increases. A slight decline was reported in Central and South America.

Net profit for the group was posted at €429 million in 2019, up from 2018.
