Clinic clowns in Germany, Czech Republic and the Netherlands have been visiting children in hospital, the elderly and people with disabilities, with the help of mateco.

In Germany, the patients of the children`s cancer clinic at the University Hospital Augsburg experienced an unusual visit from the clinic clowns, as restrictions brought about by the coronavirus makes it almost impossible for visitors to enter the building. mateco Germany provided its ‘Tappi’ truck mounted boom, especially configured for social engagement activities, which lifted the two clowns to window level at the children’s ward.

In Czech Republic, mateco`s truck mounted platform stopped at a Prague home for the elderly. The platform took a pair of clown pairs to each floor level of the home, at which point their ‘Air Clownade’ began. The clowns played and sang in front of each room for two hours.

Similarly, a number of Clowns visited a retirement home in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, to entertain its residents and put a smile on their faces. It was certainly a special day for everyone involved and will be remembered for a long time, said mateco.
