JLG expanded its low level access portfolio with the acquisition of UK-based Power Towers in June 2015. Karel Huijser, general manager and vice president of JLG EMEA BV described Power Towers as a strong business that continues to find success. “We are now ready for the next phase of integration and global expansion of their unique portfolio. The intention is to leverage the JLG organisation, drive synergies and expand the footprint.”

The new structure also sees Mark Richardson, lead engineer at Power Towers take responsibility for new low level access products and business development, working closely with both Power Towers and JLG. Sandra King will also remain with the business and continue to lead and develop the Power Towers administration team.

Brian King commented, “Both Mark and I welcome this further step in Power Towers’ development; we have grown over 100% since acquisition and this move will accelerate this still further by leveraging JLG’s true global presence and resources. With Jonathan leading the day-to-day management of Power Towers we can focus on what we enjoy most which is new product development, continuing to work very closely with our customers.”

Dawson joined JLG in 2006 and started as sales director of European telehandlers, responsible for product management and sales of telehandlers in EMEA. In 2010 he was promoted to senior director sales and customer support – EMEA distribution, based in the UK. He most recently held the role of senior sales director for EMEAIR and is replaced by Laurent Montenay.

Montenay joined JLG in 2006 as part of the Caterpillar Strategic Alliance, fulfilling various roles from area sales manager to senior director of sales and product support EMEA. He then moved on within JLG from sales director Germany to sales director CEE and France.
