Steve Simmons Named Chairman of the Access Alliance

Steve Simmons, joint managing director of Star Platforms, has been appointed chairman of the UK’s Access Alliance. The appointment came during the group’s recent meeting at the Genie production facility in Umbertide, Italy.

The Access Alliance is a group of independent access specialists working in partnership to help UK-wide customers with their powered access projects; providing access to over 10,000 platforms nationwide.

Simmons, commented, “I’m looking forward to my role as Alliance chairman, alongside the new vice chair Michelle Warren from Warren Access. Our recent trip to Italy with Genie was a fantastic opportunity for members to bond and get to know each other a little better in a relaxed environment.”

Simmons continued, “We are a professional group who live and breathe powered access hire, with a focus on providing a first-rate service. The Access Alliance really works for customers and members alike. Members benefit from increased business levels and save money via the Alliance buying group, whilst our customers can be sure that they’ll receive the same excellent levels of service both locally and across the UK.”
