Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) is introducing an anti-crushing system for its Genie booms at Intermat, April 16-21 in Paris, France. The Operator Protective Structure (OPS) prototype is an optional device for installation on articulating or telescopic boom lifts and provides secondary protection for operators in the event of contact with an overhead obstacle in certain applications. The new OPS prototype may be viewed at Intermat in stand E5 C002.

At The Rental Show 2012 in New Orleans, Haulotte Group told Access, Lift & Handlers it will launch a new 60-foot boom to the North American market at the end of the year. The company also announced the appointment of Jose Monfront, chief operating officer of Haulotte Group worldwide, as its new North American territory manager. Monfront has relocated from France to the United States to work closely with management.

North Carolina-based Niftylift debuted its SP50 Hybrid to North America at The Rental Show, Feb. 5-8 in New Orleans. The unit features a 55-foot, 10-inch working height, 29-foot, 10-inch outreachand a 500-pound platform capacity. The 4x4 unit features a Hybird power pack that allows users to choose electric only or hybrid power options.
