Lokotrack range extended

With a maximum throughput of more than 400 tonnes per hour, Metso's LT116 jaw crusher has joined the company's Lokotrack range of mobile crushing equlpment. The machine is fitted with Metso's new C116 jaw crusher and is designed to process hard rock and rock-based recycled materials elther as a standalone unit or in combination with other Lokotracks. It is also available as the LT116S, which sports a detachable screening system.

The new machine weighs in at 50 tonnes (110,000 lb) and has a transport width of 3 m (9.8 ft) and height of 3.6 m (11.8 ft). The crusher itself has a feed opening of 1.1 x 0.8 m (3.6 x 2.7 ft) that provides a maximum feed size of 0.7 m (2.1 ft). The machine can be fitted with a 6 m3 (8 yd3) hopper, but can be supplied with a 9 m3 (12 yd3) hopper as an option. Power comes from a Caterpillar 310 kW Tier 3/Stage IIIa compliant diesel developing 415 hp (312 kW).

The new addition means that the Lokotrack range features more than 30 different models and Metso says that it has supplied more than 4,000 machines over the last 21 years.
