Pablo libreros, the new managing director of Aggregates Industries’ aggregates division

UK-based Aggregate Industries has appointed Pablo Libreros as the new managing director of its aggregates division.

Prior to joining the company in 2017 as director of growth and innovation, Libreros worked for Swiss-headquartered materials manufacturer LafargeHolcim.

He held various senior roles there, including logistic director and supply chain director in LafargeHolcim’s Brazil division, before becoming CEO of the group’s Costa Rica business.

At Aggregate Industries, Libreros will be in charge of more than 60 quarrying operations across the UK.

It was said that sustainability would be a core value in the work Libreros does. In the past, he has worked in a number of ecological public sector positions in Paris, most notably as an advisor to the minister for sustainable development in France.

François Pétry, CEO at Aggregate Industries, said, “We know that the market is always developing, meaning the needs of our customers are forever changing.

“Utilising Pablo’s wealth of strategic and operational expertise and experience of industry innovation, whilst leveraging LafargeHolcim’s global presence, we will ensure our aggregates division remains one of the safest, most customer-focused businesses in the industry.”
