Bell Plant has updated its range of mini excavators with a number of Doosan’s 6 t machines, as part of its fleet renewal programme.

The order comprised seven DX63R-3 conventional tail swing and five DX62R-2 reduced tail swing models. Both models are Stage V emissions compliant and are powered by a Yanmar 4TNV98C diesel engine, which is said to be 22% more powerful than previous generation models.

Doosan said its DX63R-3 and DX62R-2 models have a bucket digging force of 4.4 t and an arm digging force of 2.9 t. The mini excavators feature a load sensing system that is said to guarantee high hydraulic performance and allow smooth and efficient combined operations.

Peter Bell, director at KW Bell Group, said: “The smooth operation offered by the new mini excavators have been very well received by our drivers. The Doosan machines offer us consistency, reliability and versatility, combining their compact design for negotiating tight spaces, with the ability to cover all the applications such as digging foundations, service trenches and loading lorries that you would expect to complete with much bigger 13 to14 t excavators.”
