Erith has been on site for the past eight months and said the completed Paddington Cube building will be a London landmark

The works comprise piling, temporary works, bulk excavation and construction of a multi-level basement.

Erith has been involved from the very early stages of the scheme, having been on site to carry out the demolition works to the former Royal Mail Sorting Office at 31 London Street.

Forming part of the wider £850 million (US$1.1 billion) Paddington Square development, Paddington Cube will feature a 14-storey glass-cladded building sitting upon three-storey podiums, offering over 32,500 sq m (350,000 sq ft) of office, retail and restaurant space.

“We are extremely pleased to continue to be part of the Paddington Cube project,” said managing director David Darsey.

“We have been actively involved in this development for the past eight months, carrying out the complex demolition works.

“Upon completion, this fantastic scheme will be an iconic landmark in the centre of London.”
