The award will be officially presented to O’Keefe Demolition during a ceremony in London, on June 19.

To win gold, organisations must have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well-developed occupational Health and Safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk, and very low levels of error, harm and loss.

Internationally-renowned, the awards are also the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. Receiving entries from organisations globally, they recognise achievements in Health and Safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Andrew Farquharson, divisional director for O’Keefe Demolition, said: “We are delighted to have won this award. It is a great achievement for all the team. Health and safety is at the core of the O’Keefe group culture. Striving to be best at what we do and how we do it will always be our objective.”

Michelle Rice, health and safety leader for the O’Keefe Group, said: “We are very proud of our demolition team for raising the bar and demonstrating our commitment to our core value.”
