Sponsors sign up for ‘virtual’ summit

28 May 2020

Less than two weeks after it was announced that – due to Covid-19 – this year’s World Demolition Summit (WDS) would be a “virtual” event combining a webinar and online awards, we can already announce the first sponsors.

Volvo Construction Equipment will continue its established headline sponsorship, while Swedish manufacturer Steelwrist and German attachments specialist Epiroc have taken up awards category sponsor packages, with equipment supplier Komatsu becoming the latest company to add their support.

World Demolition Awards winners on stage in Boston last year

The 2020 WDS is the 12th to take place and in that time it has become a must attend event for demolition contractors and other industry professionals.

Last year’s event – in Boston, USA – attracted a record 453 delegates as well as a highest ever entry for the accompanying World Demolition Awards, which alongside the conference programme recognises innovation and best practice within the industry.

This year’s event was scheduled for Vienna, Austria, before the ongoing issues relating to Coronavirus intervened.

Despite its revamp, the summit has kept its traditional date for European-based versions of the event, and it will take place on Thursday 12 November starting at 3pm (UK time).

Details of the webinar speakers will be announced in due course.

Once again we are welcoming entries for the World Demolition Awards across nine contractor and two manufacturer categories. You can download your forms from https://www.demolitionsummit.com/awards.html
