WDS 2019 heads to Boston

24 January 2019

The 2019 World Demolition Summit (WDS) will take place in Boston, USA, on October 23-24.

It is returning to North America after a gap of three years and will be held in co-operation with the US National Demolition Association (NDA), whose past president Scott Knightly welcomed the news.

Boston’s Marriott Copley Place Hotel will host this year’s summit

“The members of the NDA who have attended the summit over the years have gained insight into both best practice and the latest in innovation and technology,” said Scott.

“The event is truly international, with over 70 American companies participating last year and the networking opportunities were tremendous.

“We look forward to another fantastic event this year in Boston, and will be holding our Fall Leadership Forum before the summit to show our support.

“Speaking personally, I have really enjoyed the presentations and always come away with information I can use in my own business, as well as plenty of connections with peers I can call directly for advice.

“The WDS is an invaluable insight into the industry.”

The event, which once again has Volvo Construction Equipment as headline sponsor, will follow the successful format used in recent years.

The summit will open with a networking drinks reception on the evening of Wednesday October 23.

This will be followed by a conference the next day and the gala World Demolition Awards dinner on the evening of Thursday October 24. The venue is the Boston Marriott Copley Place hotel.
