A Quality Protocol has been proposed jointly by the UK's Environment Agency and the Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) that are aimed making it easier to recycle flat glass waste, 700,000 tonnes of which are created each year in the UK. Of this, only around 200,000 tonnes are currently recycled.

The 14th annual German Demolition Conference will take place on February 29 and March 1, 2008, once again in Berlin, Germany. About 400 international participants and 40 special exhibitors will gather at the Hotel Berlin. Some 20 technical reports will raise real world problems in demolition technique and should stimulate discussion.
