Palfinger will launch a new emission-free truck mounted platform at APEX.

The 25m working height P 250 BK eDrive is one of the first zero emission truck mounts in the market and will be followed directly after the show by another electric model, the P 220 BK eDrive.

Designed for urban areas, thanks to fully electric drive, which powers the platform and vehicle, and low noise pollution, it offers the same power as a conventionally truck-mounted access platform and can be recharged while it is in operation.

The chassis has a range of around 185km. The battery of the IVECO eDaily has a capacity of 74 kWh, can be recharged while working and powers both the vehicle and the access platform. The charging time at a DC charging station with 80 kW is around one hour and is therefore also suitable for charging between individual work operations. With an AC charging station with an output of 22 kW, the charging time is around three hours.

The model from Palfinger’s Light NX-class has a space-saving and robust design and is equipped with three different stabiliser configurations. Rounded off by a large aluminium basket, with 250kg basket capacity and the latest control panels in the basket and the base of the chassis, the platform is designed to be versatile and easy-to-use.

Zero emissions, a theme started last year at bauma 2022, will continue at APEX 2023. “We have tested these solutions extensively and have been able to gather a lot of performance data and experience”, said a company spokesman.

The result is Palfinger’s first market-ready emission-free aerial platform, which will make its debut at the Maastricht –based APEX show next month. This will be followed by the P 220 BK eDrive.

Another model at the show will be Palfinger’s P 130 A, mounted on a 3.5 tonne GVW Ford Ranger, with the addition of an eDrive battery pack on a trailer. This will be joined by the P 170 TXE Eplus, again with an integrated eDrive Battery Pack, and automatic stabilization, along with the hybrid P 640 with battery pack as one of the power sources, as well as diesel.
