See new technology at the Diesel Progress Summit

29 August 2019

While attendees at the Diesel Progress Summit will spend the day hearing about all the new powertrain technologies coming down the road, they’ll also get an exclusive chance to see some of it for real.

Hatz Diesel of North America will be showing its E1 engine technology for the first time in North America as part of its display at the Summit. The E1 technology, which is a finalist for the Achievement of the Year Award at the Summit, is designed to provide electronic control and IoT capability to Hatz’s B-series and D-series single-cylinder diesel engines.

The Summit is on 30 September in Louisville, USA, the day before the ICUEE show.

Kohler will display its new Kohler Hybrid Energy Module (K-HEM), a hybrid concept that combines a three-cylinder KDW 1003 diesel engine rated 24 hp (18 kW) and a 48 V electric motor with a peak output of 15 kW, 9 kW continuous. It is targeted toward intermittent duty cycle applications such as welders, mowers and tractors with implements, as well as equipment that typically operates at low load cycles like aerial platforms and forklifts.

The Diesel Progress Summit is a one-day conference and awards dinner for the engine and powertrain technology industry that will provide an in-depth look from industry experts at the future of power systems for the off-highway markets.
