Cool Britannia by Wolffkran

Wolffkran Ltd, the UK branch of tower crane manufacturer Wolffkran International, has pledged that its total fleet of rental cranes will have air-conditioned operator cabins by the end of 2021. It made this decision in response to operator concerns, health, safety and wellbeing considerations, and to help combat the increasingly frequent hot weather periods experienced in the UK during the summer months.

Wolfkran pledges air-con for full UK rental fleet

Operator comfort and safety in increasingly hot summers in the UK means Wolffkran Ltd aims to equip its full rental fleet with air con by 2021

The company has already ensured that all new cranes delivered to UK and Ireland rental projects have been equipped with air-conditioned cabins since 2019 and now plans to extend this further.

“We already have a large number of cranes with air conditioning and now pledge to commit to every crane going to site in future, meeting this standard,” said Julian Dyer, sales director at Wolffkran Ltd. “This will mean that with just a few exceptions, our fleet of rental cranes will have air conditioned operator cabins by the end of 2021.”
