Crane lifts Christmas tree
03 December 2019
Maintal, Germany-based crane hire company Eisele AG used its Tadano ATF 60G-3, which it took delivery of in May 2019, to help extract a large Christmas tree from the forest near Bad Orber and then install it in the Römerberg square, Frankfurt, Germany.
The tree weighed around six tonnes and was lifted from its position in the forest using the crane’s boom at its maximum extension of 48 metres. It was then loaded onto a deep bed flatbed trailer and transported to the Römerberg square where Eisele worked in conjunction with the Frankfurt fire brigade, which had its own crane, to set the tree in place. The lifting of the tree, using both cranes, took just 20 minutes.
Eisele’s crane operator Christian Neitzel said, “Despite limited space, the manoeuvrability of the ATF 60G-3 made getting it into the optimum position easy.”
