The IAA Commercial Vehicles show is all about face-to-face meetings

IAA Commercial Vehicles is a leading international commercial vehicle event for transport, logistics and mobility. Event organiser VDA, the German Association for the Automotive Industry, said travel restrictions and the prohibition of large events made the IAA 2020 in its usual form no longer possible.

According to VDA the event’s strength is its international range both of exhibitors and visitors. Direct personal contact is at the heart of the show, it said. Without the possibility of face to face meetings and many countries having travel restrictions and bans on large events for several months, precipitated the cancellation.

VDA said, “It was a difficult decision to make. Yet in view of the overall situation in Europe and around the world, we do not see any possibility of holding the IAA this year in its familiar form as a platform for exhibitors and visitors.”

The next IAA Commercial Vehicles show is already scheduled for September 2022.
