The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA), a global representative body for all those involved in the lifting industry, has emphasised the importance of continued learning and training, saying that e-learning is a great option to prepare the industry once the virus disruption is over.

The organisation said that while the impact of Coronavirus will be serious, it will eventually dissipate and that the industry must do all it can to minimised disruption so that it can “hit the ground running when conditions return to normal”.

The organisation highlighted e-learning as an important and accessible option, saying that it could “become an essential tool to help the global lifting industry mitigate coronavirus disruption”.

With many employees self-isolating and more being asked to work from home, the association will be carrying on as normal during the health crisis but said that it would take all necessary precautions where it is possible to deliver face-to-face training.
