UK rental software provider inspHire has enhanced transparency in asset tracker functionality with the launch of a new product that integrates with Trackunit, JCB LiveLink and CanTrack.

The importance of telematics data and its ever-growing increase in the rental industry, was behind the company’s new launch, it said.

The product amalgamates the location of all products in a rental fleet into one single map, using in-built Google Maps. The data and location is based on contract information, defining a radius to nearby rental depots. inspHire said that having quick access to such information would allow rental companies to better plan the movement of equipment between sites, optimise depot transfers as well as charging periods, while greatly improving customer service.

Head of sales at inspHire, Mark Taylor, said, “It needs to do two things. First, it’s important that the development adds value to businesses that are not using telematics systems. Today, hire businesses require a system that collates accurate information in one easy to access, visual screen.

“The second part of the development would unify telematics data with inspHire maximising equipment utilisation taking it to the next level.”

Alongside the asset tracker, inspHire has centralised telematics data within its hire management software. As part of the integration, Trackunit, JCB LiveLink and CanTrack can be opened directly from within the inspHire system, which the company said eradicated the need to have two systems open at once whilst also making advanced telematics data easy to access.
