KB Group expands Hitachi fleet

Netherlands-based recycling company KB Group has added two new Hitachi loaders to its fleet through the Hitachi Premium Rental programme.
The company, which deals in the crushing, washing, separating and mixing of materials, acquired one medium size ZW310-6 and one large ZW370-6 wheeled loader as part of a recent growth in services.
Hitachi’s programme allows customers to rent machines monthly for up to a year, directly from Hitachi dealers. Mid-size loaders and excavators in the 8 to 50 tonne class are available through the programme, which manufacturer Hitachi said provided access to its latest models.
Jan-Otto van Olst, Director at KB Group, said, “It’s better for us to rent the ZW310-6 and ZW370-6 from the Hitachi dealer because this removes any potential headaches.
“The market can change rapidly and the KB Group needs to react quickly. Rental helps us to avoid any unexpected losses with this in mind. It is also a good business model for us, as we have the latest technology at our disposal, with the latest engines for low emissions and fuel consumption.”
The loaders will be used to facilitate the processing and transporting of 650,000 tonnes of raw material annually, as part of KB Group’s production of commodities such as PCI coal, iron ore and anthracite.
