The partnership will see Kennards use Fleet Space’s satellite network to track and monitor its fleet, providing fleet management data as well as expanding its preventive maintenance capability.

Fleet Space launched its first four ‘nanosatellites’ in late 2018, to which will be added many others to create an extensive network. This will help to lower the cost of connectivity, opening up new opportunities for Kennards and its customers.

Craig Kesby, General Manager of Strategic Projects at Kennards, said, “That’s why they’re an interesting partner for us. Moving forwards, I think they’ll enable us to collect data from more and more equipment.”

With new data streams will come new potential revenue streams, Kesby told IRN. The full interview with Kesby will be published in the April/May issue of the magazine.
